The pursuit of a better mind

I studied Engineering (Mechatronics) at the University of Adelaide from 2008 to 2011 and graduated with first class honours. I now work as an Electrical Engineer in a multidisciplinary industry, so having an understanding of other disciplines is very useful.

Topics I’ve studied since completing university

My interests have evolved quite a bit in the last few years. It seems that the more I learn, the more my mind opens up, creating a hunger to learn even more. You can find a list here.

I started off by reading some self-help and success books, but this quickly expanded to:

  • lessons on how to communicate better
  • improve my memory (and tricks to remember things)
  • health & fitness
  • public speaking
  • leadership
  • engineering – revision of topics from uni and new courses to broaden my knowledge
    • sensors
    • atmosphere monitoring
  • body language
  • creativity
  • confidence
  • some autobiographies
  • critical thinking, decision-making & problem solving
  • social psychology and interactions
  • positive psychology
  • neuroscience
  • medical books
  • time management
  • business management
  • Spanish lessons
